May 17th- Last day in Bolivia

Today, we had an early start similar to most days. We finished breakfast and were ready by 6:30 Am. We took the same jeep to the Uyuni airport. This time, the flight was on time, and we landed at La Paz around 8:45 AM itself.

Our guide Jorge was late to receive us, so I called him up just in case. He then took us to the Valley of the moon, a popular attraction in La Paz. This place was similar to Bryce Canyon in Utah.

After this, we went back to our hotel. Lunch was again at Namaste. The almuerzo was awesome as always. Divya liked the soup so much, that we asked them to keep the same soup [Mani soup] for dinner as well. The owner was very friendly and spoke English. He kindly agreed to do it for us.

The rest of the day was just spent between visiting Sagarnaga street for souvenirs and resting in the hotel. We also went to the supermarket nearby and got some excellent potato chips. These chips taste just like Indian potato chips, and I was very happy to buy some.

Dinner was again at Namaste. We packed a sandwich for the next day's flight just in case. We told them goodbye and a lot of thanks for feeding us :)

The next day (may 18th) was one of the worst flights in American airlines. Though the flight was on-time, both breakfast and lunch were meat. No special meals were also bookable on this flight. Perhaps God wanted to show us how it feels to be deprived of food. When the flight landed in Miami, we enjoyed some veggie sandwiches for the first time in our lives. Around 12:40 midnight, we reached Seattle safely, picked up by Naresh/Neeru. This completed a memorable trip for us.
